Thank you slow cooker

Plain and simple stew, but still so good!

about a pound of cubed stewing beef

4 potatoes cubed

3 carrot chopped

1/2 celery stock chopped

1 onion

5 cloves of garlic

2 bay leaves

fresh herbs

4 cups (or more) of broth

frozen veg

rice flour

Start by covering your beef cubed in rice flour and frying in oil until browned and crispy. place all your meat in the slow cooker.

In the same pan add your chopped onion until almost cooked add your garlic and a little water. Scrape all the brown bits of the bottom of the pan and mix into the water then it goes into the slow cooker.

Add all your veggies and stock to the slow cooker. You can also put gluten free beer in (very tasty, very expensive)

put on low for about 12 hour or high for 5

when done add frozen veggies allow them to be heated all the way through.

If your stew hasn’t thicken to your liking you can mix a little potato starch or more rice flour with some broth/water and mix it in.

The best thing about this meal? it was “done” in the morning! Thanks to my crock pot!

    I miss my crockpot! Luckily Brett is getting me one for a wedding present 🙂

      Kathleen has an extra one I think. But I guess you only have to wait a month! we go ours for a wedding present too! love it alot!
